Results! Travel Celebrates 10 Years in Travel

Results! Travel® on May 19 celebrated 10 years of growth in the travel business. When the concept was launched in May of 2000, Results! Travel became the first of its kind - a limited-service travel agency franchise organization. It was created to fill the large gap in offerings between full-service franchises and those of much more basic consortia. While still considered "limited-service," Results! Travel now offers more than double the products and services to assist its Member agencies for the same, original conversion fee.


"We obviously tapped into something very important 10 years ago. At the start, one of the most attractive pieces of this franchise offering to agency owners was its airline override agreements," said John Risner, general manager of Results! Travel. "We still have some of the most lucrative override agreements remaining in the industry, but as suppliers have tried to limit their override programs, we have offered additional, exclusive tools to help our Members continue to be as profitable as possible."


The initial Results! Travel program offered the following: Overrides on major, preferred domestic airline and car rentals, along with the best commission structures with cruise lines and tour operators; a hotel program with preferred rates and last-room availability at major hotel groups; a members-only, password protected, extranet site; preferred air consolidators, CRS, travel insurance, and visa service; a 24-hour emergency call center; negotiated rate programs on office equipment, long-distance telephone service, computer hardware; and the ability to maintain well-established, individual agency names.


Ten years later, Results! Travel also offers the following to its Member agencies: Direct Mail Advantage - Marketing direct mail pieces and multi-page publications; E-Mail Manager - For the creation, distribution and tracking of e-mail campaigns; Results! Travel Web Site Manager - Web site, content, flexible customization and ongoing support for an affordable online presence; Exclusive Cruise Values - A program offering discounted rates and special amenities; Employee Benefits Program - A comprehensive, health benefits package in partnership with the Lewer Agency; Support Staff - Regional Managers, Local Market Specialist and a dedicated Help Desk; Personalized In-Office Consultation - Conducted by Regional Managers to assist in developing business and marketing plans, and utilizing Results! Travel programs, products and services in order to increase business opportunities; Corporate Booking Engine - Members have access to RESX at a reduced cost; Training and Networking - Local Market Meetings, National Meeting, frontline sales agent training and Results!
