In order to manage a holistic and effective marketing strategy, it's important to keep a calendar. Take a few moments now to grab your planners and maybe a coffee because we are going to take this overwhelming task and make it a little easier.
Day One
To start, let's pencil in everything that Agent Studio does automatically for you.
This includes your weekly email newsletter (The Week In Travel), which goes out every Thursday, and co-op emails (cobranded email promotions from the suppliers you sell). It also consists of keeping your website fresh with up to date travel news, travel tips and the latest cruise and tour itineraries along with promotions.
Next, what does your social media schedule look like? When do you have your social media posts scheduled to launch? How many posts are there? Pick a day of the week and use this time to make sure your posts are set for the week. Make use of your Agent Studio website's Integrated Social Media, it'll make the scheduling process so much easier. A good time to do this would be at the beginning of the week so you know everything is taken care of.
Look for other opportunities to automate too! If you don't have a welcome email, set one up now in your Marketing Center and save it as a draft. It'll make it quicker to send whenever you add a new contact to your website's Marketing Center. Knocking small tasks like this out now could save you a ton of time in the future.
Day Two
Speaking of email, it's time to get those figured out for the week too. In addition to the automated emails your Marketing Center automatically sends, you should be sending at least one other email a week to your database. The first email should go to everybody while the second should go to a smaller, more curated list of people. This is why segmenting your contact list in the Marketing Center is helpful.
Take this month and figure out what kind of emails will be relevant. Look for travel trends and holidays to base email content around. If you can't do 2 emails a week, always make sure to be in your customers' inbox at least once a week. Fun Fact: Agent Studio already ensures you're in their inbox once a week with The Week in Travel.
Day Three
You've been posting up social content with your website's Integrated Social Media. Now, it's time to step in and add that personal touch. Carve out a few hours of your day to reply to any inquiries, tweet followers back and make some additional posts! You can do all of this through your Integrated Social Media.
While automating posts are great, if there is something relevant going on or an article you just stumbled across on your website and you'd like to share, post it! Don't limit yourself to just the standard amount of posts.
Day Four
Step up your Instagram game. Did you know that when you post with consistency on Instagram, it rewards you by putting your posts closer to the top of the timeline? This means you have to have a set schedule. And you can easily post to Instagram through your website's Integrated Social Media.
Also, if you don't have an Instagram account, you need one! Maybe some people will tell you that you don't, but the truth is, Instagram is where the travel industry thrives. Aspirational marketing is effective- just look at the Kardashians! So, post those vacation photos once a week, every week, on the same day. An image is worth a thousand words…
Day Five (Take It to the Next Level)
It's time to start investing back in your business. You invested first by creating an Agent Studio website. Now it's time to invest in it through ads. Facebook ads to very specific segments are available at a low cost. Twitter also has very affordable plans to advertise as well. You have a beautiful website, so get it in front of people!
Managing marketing while trying to make sales is tricky. But by mapping out your days and sticking to the timelines, you can relieve yourself of some of the stress. Most importantly, remember that Agent Studio has your back!
