Delays.
We all hate airline delays, no matter what the reason, but flights that are stuck with passengers already on the plane are especially irritating..
That's why one flight attendant on US Airways earlier this month took matters into her own hands on the fly, so to speak.
Kari Mann realized there could be a lengthy delay with a maintenance issue, so when she found out there was a special foursome on the flight, she went into action.
On her Facebook page and on YouTube, Mann wrote:
"Our flight to New Orleans today was delayed for maintenance AFTER we had boarded (I'm a flight attendant). I started talking to the passengers and realized we had a barbershop quartet in our presence. I asked them to sing and most of the passengers began video taping! It was such a great moment... The mood changed and our passengers were awesome for the whole 5 hours they were on the plane! One of my favorite moments!!! Thank you to Port City Sound for creating a wonderful memory!!!"
Later, Mann even received her own serenade from the quartet.
The flight in question happened on Jan. 7. On Jan. 22, Mann wrote this on her Facebook page: "The video is still growing... I'm in awe at all the positive comments this has generated! The youtube version now has over 210,000 views!!! Thanks again Port City Sound for re-energizing something in my life that has been missing! I had forgotten how much I enjoy promoting the positive people and organizations that I encounter in my day to day activities!!!"
In the last week, the video has gone bonkers and it now has more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.
