Avis Budget Group announced today that current Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Scott Deaver will assume responsibility for the global marketing and customer experience functions of all of the company's brands in addition to his current duties.
Deaver, who has a Ph.D., has been with Avis in a variety of positions for the last 25 years, working in marketing, strategy, decision technology, licensing, car sharing and emerging markets.
"By consolidating our marketing functions globally for all of our brands, we believe we will be better positioned to continue to drive sustained profitable growth," said Ronald L. Nelson, chairman and chief executive officer, Avis Budget Group. "Scott Deaver has made outstanding contributions to our company in all the different roles we have asked him to play, and we look forward to his continuing to deliver against our strategic objectives."
Since 2012, Deaver has driven the strategic planning for Avis Budget Group and also oversaw initiatives that create operational efficiency and revenue growth, according to his Bloomberg News bio. He served as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Pricing at Avis Budget Group, Inc. since September 2006.
Avis' current ad campaign, launched in April, highlights its signature series of luxury brand cars that focuses on accomplished professionals, with the tagline "What Drives You."
