As tax day rolls around the corner, so too at least do a number of cruise travel specials and promotions to ease the blow. Check them out below.
A-ROSA
A-ROSA invites guests to take advantage of its "Spring Into Summer" savings up to $1,500 per couple for river cruises from May to October 2016 reserved by May 1.
Savings are $350 per person on 7-night or longer cruises, $250 per person on 5-6-night cruises and $150 per person on 4-night cruises. Use promo code: DMI-01. The offer can be combined with up to $800 per couple instant savings for early bookings made by May 1.
Plus, kids aged 2-15 sail free when accompanied by an adult in 2016, and solo travelers save with entirely waived single supplements on select sailings and reduced supplements on others.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line is offering the last opportunity to take advantage of its double "Free at Sea" offer, extended through April 30, 2016.
Guests who book a new five-day or longer cruise in a balcony or minisuite more than 30 days prior to the cruise can select two of the following free perks: free Unlimited Beverages, free Specialty Dining package, free shore excursion credits or a free 250 minute Wi-Fi package. These guests booking for 2016 through April 24, will additionally be credited with $100 onboard.
Otherwise, those who reserve a studio, inside, or oceanview category will get to choose one of the above options, and those in a suite or The Haven by Norwegian will receive all four. And with "Friends & Family Sail Free," third and fourth passengers can come aboard complimentarily on select sailings.
In Hawaii aboard the Pride of America, the promotion is running as follows: guests who reserve now through April 30, 2016 in any cabin can select one of four perks including a free one-night pre-cruise hotel stay, a free Specialty Dining Package, free pre-paid gratuities for the first and second guest in the stateroom or a free $50 per port shore excursion credits in up to four ports. Or those booked in a suite will receive all four.
Special saving in Europe can also be had through April 30, 2016 for those reserving an inside, oceanview, balcony or mini-suite stateroom. They can enjoy a package of round-trip air, transfers and a one night pre-cruise hotel stay beginning at $1,999, plus choose two aforementioned free perks.
Royal Caribbean International
Specifically available this weekend through April 18, 2016 is Royal Caribbean International's "Tax Day" special offer. Those who book cruises May 15, 2016 through March 31, 2017 will not have to pay taxes and fees on sailings of six nights or longer in The Bahamas, Caribbean and roundtrip in the Mediterranean. The offer even applies to the line's newest ship, the Harmony of the Seas, and her sisters, the Oasis and Allure of the Seas.
Star Clippers
Star Clippers is also running a "Fly and Sail Package" promotion for Far East cruises with special rates beginning at $799 per person for flights dependent on your North American departure airport. Sailings are 7 nights in length roundtrip from Phuket or Singapore.
From Los Angles, San Francisco or Seattle, the air alone is $799, the cruise alone starts at $1,320 or together it starts at $2,119, all per person.
From Chicago or New York, the air alone is $899, the cruise alone starts at $1,320 or together it starts at $2,219, all per person.
From Dallas, Houston, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta or Miami, the air alone is $999, the cruise alone starts at $1,320 or together it starts at $2,319, all per person.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection
A trio of offers is available from Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection. It's "2016 Europe Cruise & Air Savings" lets guests enjoy $1,000 to $1,500 per person discounts off Economy Class Air and $2,000 to $2,500 per person discounts off Business Class Air, both good through April 30, 2016.
Also, "Limited Time 2016 Savings" amount to $150 to $400 per person with a deposit made or $250 to $750 per person with full payment made with the reservation through April 30, 2016. Plus, a "Solo Traveler" offer waives or reduces the single supplement on select sailings.
