Carnival Corporation has scheduled a media conference call for "significant news" about Cuba at 5 p.m. ET today, and opening the discussion will be Arnold Donald, CEO, Carnival Corp. and Tara Russell, President of Fathom and Global Impact Lead for Carnival Corp. It is very likely that the call will be regarding the final government approval that Fathom is waiting on before officially setting sail on Cuban cruises.
Stay tuned here for news as it emerges from the planned Q&A with Donald and Russell and additionally for an interview I conducted with Russell at Seatrade Cruise Global 2016 about the cruise line's other new developments as it prepares for "impact travel" sailings to the Dominican Republic as well.
