Crystal shared renderings today of its new Diamond Class ships. The first in the class will debut in 2022.
The 800-passenger vessels will feature many amenities currently found on the line's ocean, river and expedition yacht fleet.
"Our ocean ships are the heart of the Crystal brand and have been loved by our guests for more than 28 years," said Crystal president and CEO, Tom Wolber. "We are delighted to expand this celebrated fleet with amenities and spaces that our guests have come to love along with more choices and new experiences that will take luxury to the next level. We look forward to sharing more details next year with our guests and travel partners."
The Diamond Class is being constructed at MV Werften shipyard in Stralsund, Germany. Earlier this summer, the shipyard was the scene of the ceremonial keel laying for the 200-passenger Crystal Endeavor. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was on hand for the event. Crystal Endeavor is set to debut in 2020.
This spring, Crystal River Cruises debuted its two newest vessels, Crystal Ravel and Crystal Debussy.
