Having successfully completed its "practice season," a new luxury liner is officially ready to make its formal debut.
Silversea Cruises, the world's leading luxury cruise line, announced that its newest vessel, Silver Muse, has finished its trial runs. This period of preparations involved putting the luxury ship through an assortment of tests to monitor everything from speed to noise, and the vessel passed all assessments in accordance with international rules and regulations.
The Silver Muse will be celebrated at its formal christening ceremony in Monaco on April 19. After that, the ship and its crew have an exciting year ahead of them. The ship's 2017 itinerary is an impressive lineup of 34 countries and 130 ports, with stops ranging from Caribbean fortresses to ancient Greek temples. Among the many popular destinations available are Rome, Monte Carlo, Venice, Barcelona, Athens and Saint Tropez. Before the year is over, this ship will have visited Italy, Turkey, Spain, France and an assortment of other exotic and beautiful locales.
As with all of the ships in the Silversea Cruises fleet, Silver Muse is all about taking extreme luxury to the ultimate level. It also manages to achieve the seemingly impossible goal of offering spacious and roomy quarters in an environment that still establishes the intimate feeling of a smaller ship. Serving fewer than 600 guests at a time, the ship deliberately keeps its passenger list small to allow for personalized service and an impressive staff-to-guest ration that ensures you can always count on getting prompt assistance.

It will be immediately evident that the ship's builders and designers paid incredible attention to detail, as there are countless elements aimed at enhancing the cruising experience with a focus on comfort and luxury. Fine materials and careful craftsmanship are on display all throughout the ship. There isn't a bad room in the bunch, as all of the accommodations are at the ultra-luxury level. Almost all of the suites feature a private veranda, and many offer fabulous ocean views.
Enjoy a wealth of culinary delights at any of the ship's eight restaurants. The flagship restaurant, Atlantide, boasts expansive seascapes that you can appreciate while indulging in the seafood and grill options on the menu. The highest quality ingredients and a refined atmosphere are a winning combination you will love. If you prefer Asian cuisine, you can opt to head to Indochine instead and feast on exotic treats that will thrill your taste buds.
After dinner, it's time to let the party begin! You can dance the night away at Silver Note, the ship's onboard club. With an atmosphere reminiscent of the classic Manhattan jazz clubs, this is where you can enjoy the entertainment provided by talented performers while you show off your best dance moves.
Of course, you can also just relax and unwind by settling into one of the lounge chairs alongside the spacious pool -where you can also take a refreshing dip in the cool water.
