As Cunard Line prepares to relaunch its Queen Mary 2 flagship with refined spaces, so too does it intend to introduce new dining options to go with them come June 2016. The new Carinthia Lounge and The Verandah are particularly prime for the fresh cuisine as are the existing restaurants ship-wide.
The Carinthia Lounge, replacing the Winter Garden, will serve alternative breakfast and lunch options along with premium coffees. Now that the partnership with Todd English has ended, his dining room will also be remade into The Veranda specialty restaurant, reminiscent of the Grill on the original Queen Mary. New dishes include Asparagus Specialties with Oeuf Mollet and Pink Grapefruit (pictured above).

Plus, the Kings Court buffet will be entirely transformed, and new menus will feature at the redesigned Queens and Princess Grills, as well as the Britannia Restaurant and Golden Lion pub. Rounding out the options will be a new Smokehouse alternative dining opportunity and redone Afternoon Tea in the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar.
"At Cunard, we pride ourselves on delivering a culinary experience that continuously exceeds guest expectations and illustrates Cunard's utmost attention to detail," said Richard Meadows, president, Cunard North America. "We are pleased to debut refreshed culinary offerings on Queen Mary 2 Remastered, which we have created to appeal to the most discerning guests while revitalizing classic dishes and creating new ones."

The new fare is being crafted by Cunard's chefs and culinary experts at a new Development Kitchen at the line's Southampton homeport. Among the food team are Head Development Chef Craig Dunn and identical twin Executive Chefs Mark and Nicholas Oldroyd. New Veranda menus will also roll out to the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria through 2016.
