Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection announced a new partnership with Virtuoso, the luxury travel agent network.
Uniworld is the first cruise company to be added to the Virtuoso network in nearly five years, the company said, which highlights the continued growth of the river cruising industry and the match between these two luxury brands.
"Uniworld offers a differentiated product among river cruises, with the inclusive nature of their offerings and the design and décor of their ships," said Matthew Upchurch, chairman and CEO of Virtuoso. "I believe this is a powerful addition to Virtuoso's portfolio of preferred cruise suppliers and answers a clear demand from our members."
Uniworld river ships, especially its newer Super Ships, have their own distinct personalities. Uniworld vessels are lavishly decorated and furnished with antiques and custom-made pieces. The company's newest ship, the 150-passenger S.S. Maria Theresa, takes your breath away with its antique mirrors, silk-clad walls, gold leaf accents, sweeping marble staircase with a hand-gilded balustrade, hand-painted tromp l'oeil mural and glittering Venetian Murano glass.
"We are extremely honored to be partnering with Virtuoso, whose travel counselors have built a reputation of delivering outstanding personalized service for their clients. This matches up very well with our own approach to service," said Uniworld President Guy Young. "We are pleased to offer members an assortment of exclusive opportunities, including competitive commission levels and Voyager Club on select sailings."
