Hurricane Matthew put a damper on a slew of Halloween events in Central Florida last week, forcing cancellations at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. Fortunately, those who missed out on Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Halloween Horror Nights last week will be able to use those tickets for future events before the season is up.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that guests with tickets to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for impacted dates can exchange the expired passes for tickets to an upcoming halloween party event or for tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party event beginning Nov. 7.

Visitors who were impacted by the storm can also exchange those expired tickets for a one-day Magic Your Way ticket with a Park Hopper Option, which grants same-day admission to all four parks.

The only requirement is that guests use the Magic Your Way ticket within the next two years, per the Sentinel.

If guests aren't able to return to Disney World, they can exchange their expired tickets for a full refund instead.

Meanwhile, according to the official Universal Orlando Resort blog, guests with Halloween Horror Nights tickets dated for Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 will be honored on any Halloween Horror Nights 26 event now through Oct. 31.

Halloween Horror Nights Express Passes purchased for Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 will be honored through the end of October as well. However, those Express Passes will first have to be exchanged at Express podiums at Universal Studios Florida or a Guest Services location.

There are still a dozen upcoming Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party through Oct. 31 and 16 Halloween Horror Nights 26 dates through the end of the month.
