Increased demand for Britain travel has inspired CIE Tours to create two new, all-inclusive vacation packages featuring Wales in 2015. The company has recently added a Taste of Devon, Cornwall & Wales tour, available in an 8- or 10-day option, and a 24-Day Grand Tour of Britain and Ireland to its line of programs; 15 of which now visit Wales.
Brian Stack, President of CIE Tours International, North America says, "Our combination tours, incorporating the different countries in Britain and Ireland, are doing exceptionally well." He added, "Wales offers a unique component to these tours; North American travelers often fall in love with the country's remarkable scenery and welcoming people."
Both of these vacation packages allow travelers to experience the country's culture with visits to the bustling Welsh capital, Cardiff, and the medieval, seaside town, Conwy. In Cardiff, CIE visits the gothic-style castle in the city center before dining at a Welsh banquet; and in Conwy, travelers can climb castle towers at the imposing 13th-century fortress that dominates this historic, walled town.
In addition, CIE offers 13 other vacation packages that feature Wales. The company's Taste of Wales and Ireland and Heart of Wales and England tours each spend at least three nights in the country and spotlight Wales in a way unseen on other large, series coach tours. Susan Cloyd, Product Development Manager of CIE Tours International says, "We pride ourselves on including unique, experiential activities in the all-inclusive price of our tours." She added, "In Wales specifically, travelers rave about the National Slate Museum where they watch craftsmen split slate by hand, enjoying a unique piece of Welsh history."
