When Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Orlando on September 15, visitors will be treated to five spine-chilling "scare zones" filled with menacing scareactors sure to run a chill down even the toughest person's spine.
Dubbed The Festival of the Deadliest, guests will be transported to a hellish scene filled with unearthly and macabre creatures. First, they will enter two scare zones based on horror films, Trick 'r Treat and The Purge.
In the Trick 'r Treat scare zone, the characters and stories will be themed after the iconic horror film directed by Michael Dougherty. Visitors will be surrounded by jack-o'-lanterns as Sam waits in the shadows to catch anyone not following the rules of Halloween. The Purge, the other scare zone, will feature the return of fan-favorite characters from the film series and the notorious victim auction.

After the previous horrors, visitors will travel through two additional original scare zones developed by Universal Orlando's Entertainment Team, dubbed INVASION! and Altars of Horror. These scare zones will be in addition to the nine haunted houses and two live shows produced for Halloween Horror Nights.
The announcement of the 2017 scare zones are in addition to the other horror franchises featured this year, including SAW, The Shining, American Horror Story, ASH vs. Evil Dead and The Walking Dead.
