Thanks to an annual list compiled by HauntedHouses.com, the leading resource for all things haunted, people have the opportunity to visit the top 13 haunted houses of 2017 in cities like Phoenix, Chicago, Baton Rouge and Buffalo.
"The haunted attraction industry is one that continues to grow and change each year," HauntedHouses.com representative James Olmsted said in a statement.
"In order to keep up with the top haunted houses in the country, those in our industry really have to step up their game every Halloween season to ensure that they have created an immersive and heart-wrenching experience that rivals what they created the previously."
"Many attendees are repeat customers, so when they return next year they want to experience even more thrills and chills than they did last year," Olmsted continued. "We feel that the haunted houses that we have incorporated on this year's list have all truly done that."
