In keeping with its strategy to expand its collection of properties in Mexico, Hampton by Hilton opened the 130-room property Merida in the city's business district.
Earlier this year, the company also unveiled properties in the Mexican states of Zacatecas and Aguascalientes.
"With its culturally impressive offering and the safe surroundings the Yucatán is known for, Merida is an ideal location for our newest hotel in Mexico," said Tom Potter, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide.
The Hampton Inn by Hilton Merida is equipped with the brand's signature Perfect Mix Lobby, featuring an eclectic array of seating areas designed to accommodate the needs of leisure and business travelers, a business center, a fitness center, dining room, a bar, and 3,000 square feet of meetings space.
Guestrooms boast televisions, coffeemakers, and iron and ironing boards.
The property also offers guests an array of complimentary amenities, including Wi-Fi, in-room movie channel, hot breakfast, coffee and tea in the lobby, and shuttle service within a radius of four miles.
