Crew Members Missing After Cruise Ship Wrecks, Sinks

Four crew members are missing after an Aqua Expeditions cruise ship wrecked and sank Saturday, Cruise Critic reported.

Some crew members were injured during the incident aboard Aqua Amazon, according to Cruise Critic. No passengers were aboard the ship.

Crew members were restocking the vessel when the ship wrecked, the cruise website reported. The collision caused an explosion and ultimately the sinking of the ship.

Aqua Expeditions released the following statement: "All efforts are being made to get a better understanding of the status of the missing crew. The entire operations team is on the ground providing logistical support with local emergency services."

Passengers who planned to cruise aboard the Aqua Amazon will instead travel aboard the Aria Amazon and other cruise ships, Cruise Critic said.

An investigation is under way, according to Cruise Critic.
