Oasis Hotels & Resorts' Enrique Klein, vice president of sales, and Pamela Bassett, business development manager, Canada, are pleased to be growing the team in Canada with the announcement that Theresa Calcos and Deborah Davy have joined the Mexico-based resort company
Theresa Calcos joins Oasis Hotels & Resorts as the new sales manager of leisure groups and weddings for North America. With almost 20 years of experience in the destination leisure events travel market, her sales and marketing, product development and special event group planning and operations background will bring valuable expertise to Oasis Groups. Prior to joining Oasis, Theresa has worked at companies such as AlSol Hotels and Sol Melia - Paradisus, among others.
Theresa will focus on promoting, implementing and supporting leisure group business ranging from weddings and honeymoons to bachelor/bachelorette getaways and other celebratory occasions. In addition to romance leisure travellers and special event groups, Theresa will work closely with North American travel agents and tour operators to educate, promote and support the program through webinars, trade shows and specialized FAM trips.
Deborah Davy has also joined Oasis Hotels & Resorts, in the role of sales manager of meetings & incentive groups for Canada. With more than 25 years of experience in the Tourism and Hospitality Industries, Davy previously held key positions with Tourism Toronto and Visit Florida. Her sales and marketing, product development and SMERF (Social, Military, Education, Religious, and Fraternal groups) background will bring valuable expertise in strengthening Oasis Hotels position in the MICE market. Prior to joining Oasis, Deborah has worked with leading hotel companies such as Radisson, Hilton, Marriott and Best Western.
Deborah's new role will encompass the development of Oasis Hotels in the Meetings & Incentive Groups market and supporting the existing leisure business, effective immediately.
