MORAN NEW GM AT HACIENDA
Hacienda Beach Club & Residences appointed Jorge Luis Moran general manager. He will be responsible overseeing all elements of the 109-room property, which is located in Cabo San Lucas.
Moran has 30-plus years of hospitality experience and was mostly recently general manager of the Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa.
MANDARIN HAS NEW PASTRY HEAD
Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas is delighted to announce the appointment of Executive Pastry Chef Philippe Angibeau to the hotel's award-winning culinary team.
Chef Angibeau brings his deep passion and strong creative drive to the dessert menus for MOzen Bistro, Tea Lounge, Pool Café and in-room dining. Chef Angibeau will also create elaborate treats forspecial events and delight couples with customized wedding cakes.
MIRANDA TAKES OVER ON WAIKIKI
Outrigger Resorts & Hotels announced the appointment of Simeon Miranda (pictured above) as general manager of the Outrigger-managed Holiday Inn® Waikiki Beachcomber Resort.
In his position, Miranda is responsible for overseeing the resort's day-to-day operations and staff management, as well as planning, organizing and directing all hotel services and ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction, effective business management and financial viability for the property.
Miranda joins the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort from his most recent post as general manager of two other Outrigger-managed properties -- the Airport Honolulu Hotel and the Best Western® The Plaza Hotel, both located near the Honolulu International Airport- a position he held since July 2010.
"Simeon is a versatile hospitality professional who brings a wealth of experience to his new position," said Barry Wallace, executive vice president, hospitality services for Outrigger Enterprises Group. "His knowledge of Hawaii's visitor industry coupled with his expertise with nationally branded hotel operations will serve him well as he steps into the leadership role at the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort."
MARZIONI HEADS TO ST. THOMAS
St. Thomas' Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort named Nicolas Marzioni director of food and beverage, with responsibility for food and beverage operations for the resort's three restaurants and catering services.
Marzioni most recently served as director of food and beverage at Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort in the Cayman Islands, and previously served as executive chef at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel and the Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort.
