Travel tech continues its evolution and Forbes has the lowdown on what travel apps you are going to need next year.
"From curated, downloadable itineraries to trip organizers, 2017 will be a banner year for technology and travel," writes Alexandra Talty.
First on their list is Google Trips.
"If ease on the road is your thing, and you have a Gmail account, Google Trips might be for you," notes Talty, adding that privacy hawks may not love it.
Tinder might sound surprising in the travel space, but there are good reasons.
"For business travelers and solo adventurers, setting up a date in the convenience of your hotel room might seem less intimidating than going to a bar or restaurant to meet folks," says Talty.

Lonely Planet guides are another must.
"Known for budget travel recommendations and quirky cafes, Lonely Planet does an amazing of providing sightseeing suggestions as well as local hot spots," Talty suggests.
