Delta Vacations is developing a more robust Europe and Asia product line with new experiential tours and activities in Ireland, Italy, Thailand and Hong Kong.
"We know that many travelers are looking to enhance their vacation with meaningful and interactive activities to learn more about the history, culture and local cuisine," said Elizabeth Moriarty, Delta Vacations vice president-product development. "These new optional activities are the perfect complement to a visit to Europe or Asia."
The new additions to its portfolio include castle tours, nighttime excursions, visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites and more.
Delta Vacations boosted its Ireland itineraries with several new options, including the Howth Village and Malahide Castle Tour that includes a walking tour of the local fishing village, the famed castle and the private gardens.
Travelers can also take advantage of the new City By Night Tour, and the Gap of Dunloe & Killarney Lakes Rail Tour, an adventure by train boat and pony.
There is also the Kilkenny City and Waterford Crystal Rail Tour, the Wicklow Mountaineer Rail Tour and the Titanic Belfast and Belfast City Rail Tour.
Delta added to its Italy offerings as well with the Agrigento Tour, the Palermo and Monreale Tour and the Etna and Taormina Tour.
Elsewhere around the globe, Delta added the Phuket Cooking Class to its Thailand options. Travelers can also choose the Phuket Island Tour, a guided cultural and architectural heritage tour of the island with sights of temples, offshore islands, and Sino-Portuguese buildings.
In Hong Kong, guests can now choose a new foodie-focused offering, the Hong Kong Munchies Walking Tour. The gastronomic adventure takes travelers along the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail to sample local favorites such as egg tart, dim sum, wonton noodles, Hong Kong French toast and renowned silk stocking milk tea.
