A River of Options
River cruising’s increasingly wide appeal enables you to cast a wide net in terms of prospects.

River cruising is one of SmartFlyer’s fastest-growing sectors and for good reason—it appeals to many types of travelers, enabling our travel advisors to cast a wide net in terms of whom they target.
One of the many advantages of river cruising is the intimate atmosphere on board the vessels, which typically carry fewer than 200 guests. Also, many river cruise lines focus on culinary excellence, offering farm-totable cuisine, along with a generous number of healthy dining options. The all-inclusive nature of the dining experience is something your luxury clients will appreciate—as it’s always a great feeling to not be nickeled-anddimed throughout a vacation.
Furthermore, the river cruise segment is continuing to expand exponentially, moving far beyond retirees and attracting younger travelers as well as families and multigenerational groups. River cruise lines are also attracting increasing numbers of Baby Boomers who are fit and active through a slate of programs focused on more adventurous and immersive excursions.
In the final analysis, what’s not to like? The river cruise product earns high marks from clients while paying you high commissions—and with virtually no non-commissionables.
One more thing: I know this has been said before—but let’s face it—it’s always a pleasure to only have to pack and unpack once!
