The tropical paradise of Hawaii continues to expand its offerings to travelers, while hotel companies renovate and innovate in the tourism sector.
A couple of prime Hawaiian resorts have renovated and introduced some new suites recently. Travelers can also check out new summer camps, zipline tours, surfing-themed packages, cultural festivals and more.
Whether you are a travel agent looking to experience Hawaii firsthand or you want to book some fantastic rooms and experiences for your clients, there is plenty to choose from. Here’s an update on Hawaii’s new offerings.
Four Seasons’ New Suites
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea recently completed a $3 million renovation of its Maile suite, while introducing the new Lokelani presidential/residential three-bedroom suites. The two suites — the largest on the property and the largest in Hawaii — offer comfort, privacy and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, and are best suited for families and small groups requiring multiple bedrooms.
The Maile is 5,000 square feet. The Lokelani is more than 4,500 square feet, plus it has a 2,400-square-foot outdoor living area and 2,500-square-foot private lawn and garden.
Services and amenities include roundtrip transfers via Uber’s Black Car service, Teslas and/or private SUVs; daily breakfast at the award-winning DUO restaurant; laundry service; a private chef-customized dinner at a property venue of the guest’s choosing; a spa treatment for each adult guest; overnight parking and the use of a rental luxury sedan or seven-passenger minivan for the duration of the stay.
The exclusive services and amenities are part of Four Seasons Maui’s new Complete Suite Experience, available to guests who book a stay in one of the resort’s Oceanfront or Residential Suites. There are also concierges available to create custom itineraries.

New Lines at Skyline
Skyline Eco-Adventures, Hawaii’s award-winning zipline company and operator of the first zipline course in the U.S., is expanding its operations this summer with the launch of two new “Zip n’ Dip” experiences.
At its Ka’anapali location, Skyline will introduce Maui’s first “Zip n’ Dip” tour. In this three-hour adventure, participants are able to zipline across a natural mountain pool before plunging into the water below at one of the stops. They can also float around in a raft, go stand-up paddleboarding or boogie board. The tour starts at $139.95 per person.
After each zipline tour at Skyline’s Akaka Falls location, guests will have access to Skyline’s privately owned waterfall swim hotspot. Guests can swim by the 50-foot waterfall and enjoy a picnic lunch. Skyline also provides water shoes. The Zip n’ Dip Tour will be offered every day through August for an additional $70 per person. Zipline tours start at $159.33 per person.

Turtle Bay Resort Renovations
In August 2013, Turtle Bay Resort announced the completion of a multimillion dollar renovation. The refurbishment includes upgraded, redesigned and remodeled rooms; the new North Shore Kula Grille and Pa’akai restaurants; the 11,000-square-foot Nalu Kinetic Spa; The Watershed and Oakley at Turtle Bay retail outlets; an exclusive media center by GoPro and the North Shore Guides Club, which provides experiences such as surfing and golfing through the eyes of a local.
But there’s more.
Turtle Bay is currently working on the Green Roof Project, a 59,000-square-foot landscaped native plant and rock garden to be featured on all lower rooftops. The project, which is in collaboration with green committee Hui Malama, aims to reduce the resort’s carbon footprint. That is in addition to improving the aesthetic ambiance of the resort even more. The rooftop materials are sustainable enough to last for two decades.

Turtle Bay Surfing Packages
Located on Oahu’s fabled North Shore, Turtle Bay has certainly seen its fair share of extraordinary surfers. And the trend continues this winter.

In response, Turtle Bay is offering visitors special packages to enjoy the myriad of upcoming competitions. Packages include VIP access to watch the HIC Pro at Sunset beach or the REEF Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwan; daily surfboard rentals from the renowned Hans Hedemann Surf School; the chance to meet surfing legends at the Hang Ten Pool Bar; a VIP-access pass and shuttle to the second jewel of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, The Vans World Cup at Sunset Beach; massages; championship golf; and, last but not least, VIP access and seating to the Billabong Pipe Masters, the final event of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, where the 2014 World Champion is crowned (food, beverage and transportation included).
