Splendid Serenity at Grand Solmar Land's End
The resort provides a tranquil, romantic ambiance just minutes from Cabo San Lucas.

Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort is not a million miles from reality—it’s actually just a quick walk from Cabo San Lucas’ touristy downtown and marina.
Yet, it conveys a sense of splendid serenity.
Pools and restaurants look out onto the wild Pacific fronted by a tranquil golden beach ending in unimpeded views of the destination’s El Arco landmark. It’s utterly romantic from every angle but with overtones of that festive Los Cabos weekender energy that inspires guests to spark up conversations poolside or bond over beers while watching a game at the sports bar.
With outdoor function space a stone’s throw from El Arco, this Mexican-owned luxury hotel is perfect for medium-sized leisure groups looking to celebrate a special occasion (i.e. family reunion, wedding, bachelorette getaway). Incentive groups will also find the property beyond reproach, especially if their itinerary allows them to spend time enjoying the fabulous facilities and nearby town’s many charms.
And for couples or families who can afford the very best of the region, this property offers ultimate relaxation and memorable moments in a windswept elegant setting.
Fanciest and Most Common Accommodations
The King of Sweden recently stayed in the opulent four-bedroom penthouse; Other VIP guests book it out for multiple weeks, hefty rates notwithstanding. The spacious terrace with a private pool overlooking the Pacific is a perfect space for intimate gatherings.
The majority of guests, however, book the resort’s one-bedroom suites, of which there are 120. At 1,248 square feet, they’re larger than most city dwellings, with fully equipped kitchens and luxurious Jacuzzi tubs in the master bathrooms.
What’s Included
The standard rates are not inclusive, but a meal plan is available for $140 per person per day, which includes alcoholic beverages.
Best Entertainment
The specialty resort programming is this property’s true expertise. If your clients want to set up an experience that blends wellness with self-indulgence, point them to the signature spa treatments with food and cocktail pairings. For a small group that wants their last evening to be totally memorable, book the private yacht for a sunset sail.
For that comfortingly familiar “bro down” vibe that Americans gravitate to no matter what country they’re in, the Sports Bar is a magnet—and always with a game blaring, drinks on the go and a full dining menu available.
What’s for Dinner?
The restaurants at Grand Solmar are so beautifully styled, every one of them feels like a standout. La Roca is the property’s signature restaurant, which, with its expansive Cabo via Hollywood atmosphere, features Baja-rooted, internationally inspired menus.
Advise your clients to visit every restaurant in the resort, however, because each offers up a one-of-a-kind experience.
Don Luis features rotating culinary themes and some classic steakhouse standbys. The Sushi Lounge is a hidden romantic jewel—Zen meets the Mexican Pacific—with a menu of sushi rolls and champagne. Brisas elevates beach tacos to a casual luxury experience. Even the Deli is memorable, with its fresh pastries and perfectly frothed cappuccinos.
Who Books This Resort?
The guests are a well-heeled mix of families, couples, incentive group travelers and special occasion leisure groups. You can’t go wrong recommending it to couples, whether it’s for a honeymoon, anniversary or renewal of vows. The age range is 35 to 60, and 85 percent of guests are from the U.S.
Insider Booking Tip
The rooms in Building B overlooking Land’s End have the best sunset views. Rooms in buildings I, H and G have sunrise views. The property is a bit mazelike, so if you have clients with limited mobility, try to book them in Building C, which is the shortest distance from the lobby and main pool area.

Best Spots for Romance
The Sushi Lounge for an afternoon bite, Land’s End adults-only pool at sunset, the grotto for an early morning dip and dinner in the gazebo. Also, a couple’s massage with chocolate truffles, champagne and perhaps a few other snacks.
Key Selling Points
The resort’s ambiance is total privacy, given that Cabo is a 10-minute walk away.
For clients who appreciate the spacious, luxurious properties on the Hotel Corridor but dislike the distance from that stretch to downtown, this property is a great answer. The way to give context is to say this: “It’s behind El Arco and closest to the Rock/."
In other words, it’s in a place where all other Cabo visitors have to rent a boat to experience.
