California Dreamin’
Brought to you by Alamo Rent A Car

Many families across the U.S. head to warmer climes for spring break.
Of course, Disneyland in Southern California is a favorite destination. So if your clients are heading to Anaheim, recommend that they rent a vehicle and explore the Los Angeles area, too. Kids of all ages would probably enjoy a visit to Hollywood. They can search for their favorite celebrity names on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which now features more than 2,600 terrazzo-and-brass stars embedded in the public sidewalks.
Recommend that they start at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue (also home to a huge shopping mall and near the famed TCL Chinese Theatre, with its hand and footprints of the stars in concrete).
No visit to SoCal is complete without a trip to one of the many beaches that line the coast. Santa Monica is popular for its many stores and restaurants as well as its famous pier. The Santa Monica Pier features an arcade, small roller-coaster and a marine education center. Another option is Dockweiler Beach, located in Playa del Rey. The three-mile-long beach offers 75 first-come, first-served bonfire pits to cook hot dogs or roast marshmallows.
Los Angeles is home to a wide assortment of museums, including the highly popular La Brea Tar Pits and Museum, located along Wilshire Boulevard in the city’s Miracle Mile neighborhood. It features fascinating information on the mastodons and saber-toothed cats that got stuck in the bubbling pits of asphalt where the City of Angels now stands.
Also nearby are the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Original Farmer’s Market—both are must-sees for the whole family.
This is just a hint of all there is to see after your clients pick up their vehicle at any of the Los Angeles area’s three main airports—Los Angeles International (LAX), LA-Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA).
Search on alamo.com to compare vehicles and deals specific to your clients’ travel plans. (Save them some money by signing them up for Alamo Insiders.)
Vehicles come in all shapes, sizes and colors, from the economy car that holds four people and two bags to the premium SUV, which holds eight people and seven bags. You can also reserve child safety seats from Alamo, if needed. For more family-friendly scenic touring tips in the Los Angeles area, visit alamo.com/losangeles_attractions.
