Five Nickelodeon Markets to Tap
Targets for the new Punta Cana resort extend far beyond families.

Karisma Hotels & Resorts’ Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort Punta Cana is already making its mark as a quintessential family resort. The 208-room property, which opened in June on the Dominican Republic’s Uvero Alto beach, offers innumerable activities and facilities custom-tailored to the family market, including guest interactions with Nickelodeon’s famous cartoon characters throughout the day.
Yet, the all-inclusive property ably accommodates groups, couples, luxury travelers and all-inclusive resort enthusiasts every bit as well as it serves families. From its diverse specialty dining options to its premium spa services and large, contemporary styled suites with swim-up plunge pools, the new resort is well suited to host a broad range of travelers.
Here are five markets to consider targeting and why.
FAMILIES
For obvious reasons, the No. 1 market for the property is families – and it’s an easy sell. To that end, the resort offers an array of facilities, amenities and services to accommodate travelers with children of all ages. The opportunities for kids to interact with their favorite Nickelodeon cartoon characters – whom they can mingle with at Character Central – is just one of many selling points.
Nickelodeon Place is the central rendezvous point for kids and their parents, and includes Plaza Orange, a venue for entertainment and events; Just Kiddin’, a kids-only clubhouse and artist’s studio offering daily supervised activities and programs for children 4 to 12 years old; and Aqua Nick, a water park equipped with slides, splash pads, spray grounds and a lazy river.
The Zest restaurant features weekly character dining experiences with SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol and the Fairly OddParents.
Amenities for families include complimentary baby food, strollers, cribs, kids’ spa robes and baby bottle warmers for infants and toddlers.
In all, the resort boasts 208 generously sized suites filled with amenities designed to cater to every taste and need. The 1,500-square-foot Pineapple Villa is actually shaped like a Pineapple (making for perfect social media images) and accommodates up to eight people.
The two-bedroom, three-bath suite offers indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, a private master suite with a king-sized bed. The oversized marble bathroom features double sinks, an indoor shower, as well as an inviting Aguas del Amor outdoor shower and a freestanding tub.

The main living room boasts a pullout sofa bed, dining room, TV, play area, storage space, bathroom and access to private gardens and a patio featuring an infinity pool and sun-bathing beds. The Villa’s second story, loft-style living room offers two single beds and a bathroom.
Pineapple Villa guests also enjoy private butler service and preferred access to all restaurants and the spa, plus daily premium magazines and newspapers.
COUPLES
You can recommend the Nickelodeon to couples of all sorts, including those planning destination weddings. The property incorporates Karisma’s Gourmet Inclusive Wedding Events program, and features an array of romantic options for weddings, including a beachfront gazebo and signature Sky Wedding location featuring 360-degree views from the private rooftop terrace.
The Vassa Spa features themed treatment suites, including a couple’s suite, a luxurious bridal suite, and five “al fresco” outdoor treatment areas.
GROUPS
The resort offers multiple accommodations categories designed to satisfy an eclectic array of groups. Rooms are available in seven categories ranging from intimate Pad and Flat suites to swim-up suites featuring plunge pools.
The Nickelodeon’s portfolio of accommodations includes four two- and three-bedroom “super villas” measuring 2,200 square feet. The property also offers flexible and numerous dining options, which will appeal to groups of all shapes and sizes.
LUXURY TRAVELERS
The resort’s contemporary design, premium services and deluxe amenities make it an ideal option for travelers seeking luxury vacations. Upscale elements are found across the property, from suites with freestanding bathtubs, private patios and wrap-around terraces and balconies, to room amenities that include smart TVs and complimentary mini-bars. Personal concierges provide guests with an array of services from reserving beach Bali beds to arranging off-resort activities and excursions.
Affluent travelers will also be drawn to the resort’s myriad gourmet dining options.
ALL-INCLUSIVE RESORT ENTHUSIASTS
The property’s grounds are expertly finished and rival just about any in the all-inclusive marketplace with lush landscaping, infinity pools, swim-up bars and an extensive stretch of typically beautiful Dominican Republic beach.
The Vassa Spa offers an herbal steam room plus a dry sauna, chromotherapy showers, bubble beds, a whirlpool, and cold- and warm-water pools.
All-inclusive resort junkies will appreciate the eclectic array of food and beverage options, which include 10 restaurants, two “gourmet corners” for light snacks and specialty cuisine, four bars and lounges, and the Doppio Coffee Shop.
