In and Around Seattle
From the iconic throwing of the fishes at Pike's Place Market to the Space Needle to seeing the newest member of the Woodland Park Zoo, there is so much to see in Seattle.

Summer is an opportune time to explore the beautiful “Emerald City” of Seattle – and there are numerous activities for families. Your clients can pick up a rental vehicle from Alamo Rent A Car at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport or take public transportation to the downtown Seattle Alamo location at 1601 Third Avenue.
No visit to Seattle is complete without a stroll through the iconic Pike Place Market, which features bakeries, cafes, restaurants, and fish and farmers’ markets. Time the visit just right and your clients can see fishmongers throwing their catch to one another at the Pike Place Fish Market.
Recommend a visit to the iconic 605-foot-tall Space Needle, built as a dominant central landmark for the 1962 World’s Fair. The needle was remodeled last year to include almost 200 percent more glass to provide even more stunning views of the city. There’s also a new wine bar, café and revolving glass floor.
Located just 29 miles from the city, Snoqualmie Falls is a 270-foot waterfall that has become one of Washington State’s most popular scenic attractions. The viewing platform is wheelchair-accessible and located just 200 feet from the free parking lot, so it’s easy to get to without a hike. However, there are scenic trails and pathways down to the river for those who wish to explore.
You may also want to recommend a visit to the Museum of Pop Culture, or MoPOP, designed to interest all ages. The current exhibit about the late musician Prince will run through Jan. 5, 2020.
Other sites to recommend include Woodland Park Zoo (where a baby giraffe was born on May 2); the Museum of Flight, with over 175 aircraft and spacecraft on display; and Gas Works Park, which offers visitors a play area with a large play barn, a big hill popular for flying kites, and a beautiful view of Seattle.
