A new SmartFlyer app serves as a daily reminder that the agency is there for its luxury clients 24/7.

Unquestionably, destination expertise is an essential component for any agent selling luxury travel today. While some of our SmartFlyer travel advisors possess encyclopedic knowledge of the best restaurants in Paris and others know exactly where to book a family of a five at a Florida dude ranch, what really sets us apart from the competition is knowing exactly how to make our clients happy—be it climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge or relaxing at Amanyara at Turks & Caicos.
However, in an increasingly competitive marketplace, we continually invest in technology that broadens awareness of our brand. “App commerce” is growing rapidly, and it needs to be part of our technology platform—which is one of the key reasons why we unveiled a SmartFlyer app.
We embarked on the project approximately six months ago with Lisa Israelovitch, the founder of Umapped—and we are very pleased with the results. The app, which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store, serves as a daily reminder to our clients that we are here for them 24/7.
Furthermore, SmartFlyer advisors are reporting that they are scoring new business, in part because their clients say they love to have all their travel information in one place.
The app, which is compatible with tablets, iPads and mobile phones, enables customers to receive live flight notifications and view itineraries and documents, even if their phones are in airplane mode. They can also obtain weather reports, directions and add bookings.
Another way in which we use technology to our advantage is by communicating with our clients over the e-channels that suit them best—be it via WhatsApp or mobile text messaging or email.
