The NBA playoffs are in full swing and that means that basketball fans across the country are locked into America's second-favorite sport this spring. To determine which cities offer passionate hoops lovers the most in 2022, personal finance website WalletHub recently compared more than 290 of the largest U.S. cities based on 21 key metrics, including the performance level of each city's NBA and or college basketball teams as well as fan engagement, ticket prices and arena accessibility, among other important factors. Unsurprisingly, the top of the list is dominated by large cities with more than 300,000 people but one mid-size city (100,000 to 300,000 people) did manage to crack the top 10.
