Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday, a celebration that began in 1621 when 90 Native Americans joined 53 Pilgrims for a feast that lasted three days.
Almost four centuries later, little has changed. Not even the three-day thing when you factor in a four-day weekend with friends and family, and, of course, leftovers.
Those turkey sandwiches and green bean casserole can go a long way.
