So why should you participate in the Agent@Home Travel Summit next week in Atlantic City, N.J.? We could tell you, but we'll let you get the rave reviews directly from suppliers who participated in the summit in Southern California.
The inaugural Agent@Home Travel Summit took place Sept. 15-18 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif., with 450 registered travel agents.
The East Coast version of the show is scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, and there's still time to register. Click here to check out the full agenda and visit here to register.
Here's a two-minute video of the show. Suppliers appreciated the enthusiastic and engaged agent attendees and the laser focus on how home-based travel agents can build successful businesses.
"It was very practical information to actually help agents, in a real-life scenario, to increase their business and their sales," said Mark Nessle, business development manager at Intrepid Group.
Featured speakers for the Atlantic City show include Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, and Laurie K. Bohn, director-trade sales and national training for Royal Caribbean International. The Cruise Lines International Association is participating in the show.
On the tour side, featured speakers include Paul Wiseman, president of Trafalgar and Brendan Vacations; Mike Going, president of Funjet Vacations; Steve Gorga, president of Exclusive Group Travel; and Ron Fenska, vice president-sales for Intrepid Group in North America.
Also speaking will be Scott Koepf, senior vice president of Avoya Travel; Melissa Alexander, director of leisure sales at Atlantis, Paradise Island; and Tanya Churchmuch, founder of MuchPR, a public relations agency specializing in LGBT tourism markets.
Of course, travAlliancemedia President and CEO Mark Murphy will be on hand, speaking from his own experience of starting up a business from scratch and serving as emcee.
A full conference pass to the Agent@Home Travel Summit is just $89. Special rates are available at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel from $119 for a standard room. To register, visit the Agent@Home Travel Summit website.
And if you absolutely can't attend the show, save the date for Nov. 4. We're working on bringing you to the show virtually, and we're inviting all the exhibitors who participated to the Virtual Agent@Home Travel Summit. Keep your eyes open for registration information.
