Tourists visiting Cancun will be able to get to their resorts more quickly and start relaxing now that Cancun is adding more immigration officers to the queue.
Roberto Cintrón Gómez of la Asociación de Hoteles de Cancún y Puerto Morelos told Riviera Maya News that thanks to the efforts between the Secretary of Tourism and the National Institute of Migration, Cancun Airport will be adding 30 more immigration officers to Terminal 3, which should make the immigration wait time much quicker.
The decision to add 30 more officers to Terminal 3 comes after tourist complaints this weekend about lengthy wait times as they passed through 13 immigration windows when there are about 50 windows available. Travelers posted photographs of extremely long lines on Twitter.

This problem has apparently been worse on Sundays, so Cancun is doing something to make tourists' first impression of the destination better.
Francisco Lopez Reyes, director of municipal tourism, said, “The only way to solve the problem is with more staff.”
Gomez noted that 60 more migration agents are expected to be added to Cancun International Airport this week.
