China Eastern, Hainan, Air China Plan more U.S.-China Flights
Airlines & Airports February 21, 2013
A healthy tourism flow from the U.S. and a robust flow of Chinese travelers into this country are stimulating air connections between the two countries. Several new flights will be connecting the U.S. and the People’s Republic of China.
Starting April 26, China Eastern Airlines will begin daily direct flights between Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Hainan Airlines will launch Chicago to Beijing service starting Sept. 3. The service will include four flights a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) and is in addition to Hainan’s existing direct flights to Beijing from Seattle and Toronto. On July 11, Air China will commence service between Houston’s George Bush Airport (IAH) and Beijing (PEK) four times a week.
