Delta Announces Extra Flights for Superbowl

Why it Rates: Delta joins a handful of airlines that have announced they will increase flight options for the game, making it even easier for travelers to get to the big event. —Mia Taylor, TravelPulse Senior Writer.
Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots headed to the big game in Minneapolis on February 4 have 21 additional Delta nonstop flights on Boeing 757 aircraft to choose from at Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) International Airport surrounding the game.
On February 2, four additional nonstop flights each from Boston Logan (BOS) and Philadelphia International (PHL) Airports to MSP will operate. On February 3, one additional nonstop flight from BOS and PHL will operate to MSP. On February 5, six additional nonstop flights from MSP will operate each to and BOS and five to PHL.
This additional flying augments existing regular service from MSP to both PHL and BOS, ranging from two to four or more nonstop flights in Delta winter schedule.
Delta's hub at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport is the airline's second largest by total destinations served at 134 with 374 peak-day departures and more than 39,000 daily available seats in the airline's January schedule.
