An altercation between a Delta Air Lines pilot and flight attendant prompted a two-hour flight delay at New York's LaGuardia Airport Monday.
According to the New York Daily News, a 54-year-old pilot and 26-year-old flight attendant got into a dispute shortly before the plane was scheduled to take off for Portland, Maine.
A source told the publication that the male pilot and female crew member exchanged words in the aisle, with each accusing the other of aggressively grabbing the other's arm.
"His conversation was racist, inconsiderate and unprofessional," the source said, pointing out that he called her "a piece of s---."
The two Delta employees were later interviewed by Port Authority police officers carrying "huge guns" at the jet bridge. However, officers determined neither individual was injured and made no arrests.
