Lucky Passengers See the Northern Lights in the Air
Airlines & Airports Janeen Christoff January 20, 2017

It’s prime time for the Northern Lights and, apparently, you don’t have to even get off the plane to see the stunning aurora take place. At least that was the case for one lucky traveler, whose story was shared on Conde Nast Traveler.
“First, Aryeh Nirenberg hit the frequent flier jackpot with a whole row to himself. That came in handy when, upon looking out the window, Nirenberg was able to set up a tripod, cover his camera in an airplane blanket to block out the cabin lights, and capture a time lapse of his flight traveling alongside the natural masterpiece,” says Meredith Carey.
The story has made headlines around the world, and the YouTube video Nuremberg posted has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
