Norwegian Air Brilliantly Trolls Brangelina Split

The biggest story of the week – maybe of the year so far – was the announcement that actress Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from actor Brad Pitt.
The two A-listers were THE Hollywood power couple, together for the last 12 years, married for the last two, with six children between them.
Naturally, tabloids and entertainment shows were all over it.
And so was Norwegian Air.
Huh?
Yep.
To be clear, divorce is never easy on anybody and certainly isn’t a ‘fun’ subject, but the airline created a pair of print advertisements that more or less trolled Pitt’s soon-to-be single status in concert with its new discounted fares from Oslo, Norway, to Los Angeles.
“Brad is single,” one version of the ad says against a bright red backdrop.

The other ad read like a want-ad for a date, noting that a “newly single actor” was seeking a partner with a GSOH (good sense of humor).

Now, whether this is all on the up-and-up with the Pitt camp remains to be seen but the ads appear to be expertly crafted to avoid any blowback. Norwegian did not use Pitt’s likeness nor did it refer to him by his full name in either print advertisement.
