More than once in these National Football League playoffs, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has screamed out the phrase “Omaha! Omaha!” when bringing his team to the line of scrimmage. So much so, in fact, that it became a Twitter trend two weeks ago when the Broncos beat the San Diego Chargers and brought some extra attention to Nebraska’s largest city.
We certainly appreciate all the love from #PeytonManning :) #OmahaOmaha

Even Omaha Steaks is considering an endorsement deal with Manning, while the Nebraska Zoo gave the QB quite the honor as well.
To thank Peyton Manning for his #OmahaOmaha shout outs, we decided to name a penguin @OmahaZoo after him. http://t.co/OgORYUOihJ

Monday, the Denver International Airport got in on the act as it boarded flights to – you guessed it – Omaha! This was from a gate for a United Airlines flight.

By the way, Manning has also been known to say “Montana”, “Marshall” and “Apple Pie” at the line of scrimmage, in case anybody else was looking to capitalize.
