To celebrate the recent Super Bowl victory for the Philadelphia Eagles, the city’s airport has set up a massive display highlighting the team’s journey to the championship.
According to Philly.com, Philadelphia International Airport director of image and chief curator Leah Douglas revealed the new free exhibition would honor the Eagles’ Super Bowl win on two walls in Terminal A-East past the security checkpoint.
The exhibit will remain in the airport through June 2019 as part of Wawa’s Welcome America celebrations and highlights the past and present of the team. On one wall, the airport highlights the Eagles’ three pre-Super Bowl championships and two NFC Championships.
On the other wall, Philadelphia International highlighted the 2018 NFC Championship and Super Bowl victories with a video produced just for the display and images of top moments, including the Philly Special, Zach Ertz’s go-ahead touchdown and Tom Brady’s fumble.
The displays also feature photos with captions dedicated to members of the Eagles Hall of Fame, former players, coaches and even world-renowned radio announcer Merrill Reese. The airport even added a floor element that displays the Eagles logo.
For Philadelphia, it feels good to be the champion.
