After another busy Thanksgiving, United Airlines set several company records during the November 19-26 holiday travel period.
United officials announced the airline achieved its best-ever Thanksgiving completion percentage and broke its on-time performance records twice during two of the busiest travel days of the year.
On Thanksgiving, United set an all-time company record for on-time departures with 89.1 percent and followed up that success by breaking the new record Friday with an 89.8 percent on-time departure rate.
“This Thanksgiving we connected millions of our customers with family, friends and the moments that matter most in their lives,” United COO Greg Hart said in a statement. “And last week our employees went above and beyond to deliver on that commitment with record-shattering results.”

In addition, United hubs in Denver, Newark, Dulles, Houston and Chicago broke all-time, on-time departure records during the week, with Chicago leading the way with a 94.4 percent consolidated on-time departure average on November 24.
United finished the week with a consolidated completion percentage of 99.6, thanks in part to three days of no cancellations and five straight days without a cancellation for United Express.
