Airlines for America (A4A), the industry’s lobby group for virtually every U.S.-based airline, unveiled its first-ever television commercial over the weekend as part of an overall "We Connect the World" advertising campaign.
Mirroring other components of the campaign, the commercial features airline employees guiding families, business people, and shippers to their destinations while highlighting the magnitude of the industry.
“Our 27,000 flights daily help connect the world in a way like no other industry,” Jean Medina, A4A Senior Vice President for Communications, said in a statement. “Airline employees are often the first and last people our customers see while traveling and we are thrilled to feature those same employees representing the U.S. airline industry.”
The TV commercial is the latest installment of a campaign celebrating everyday moments made possible by the airline industry, which combines radio and print, as well as an online presence and out-of-home presence. The commercial will appear on network and cable television stations throughout the year.
