Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Condor Airlines continues to shine.
After a strong 2017 that produced a solid market performance as well as being named Germany’s most popular airline for the third time, Condor is ready for a big year in 2018.
So, what’s the latest?
Well, in January, Condor teamed up with Wings of Help to aid Puerto Rico by sending a Boeing 767 carrying special cargo.
Puerto Rico was devastated by hurricanes last September, and Wings of Help organized the transport of “decommissioned laptop computers” and “two pallets pre-filled with soccer boots, jerseys and other donations that benefit a school in Puerto Rico.”
Wings of Help and Condor previously sent a power generator to San Juan, Puerto Rico back in December.
Condor views social responsibility as a high priority, setting up the ConTribute initiative to help assist global projects.
Christiane Schneider, Referent Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility said, “in the past few years we have been able to support many children in emergency situations and report relief supplies to areas affected by natural disasters.”
Part of the Thomas Cook Group Airlines, Condor operates flights to Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
Thanks to the success of 2017, new routes are on the horizon for 2018.

One of the new additions will be flying from Phoenix to Frankfurt on Mondays and Fridays from May through September.
“In addition to our flights to San Diego, Pittsburgh, New Orleans and San Francisco this year, we are delighted to announce our new service to Phoenix to further complement our North America program by increasing our US destinations to a total of 18 cities”, states Christoph Debus, CEO Thomas Cook Group Airlines.
“We are pleased to bring Condor’s award-winning, three-class service at attractive prices to Phoenix and the whole region of Arizona and giving the local people a unique choice for their travels to Germany and beyond. With our numerous partner airlines, we offer flights beyond Frankfurt to over 120 destinations across Europe.”
The first flight from Phoenix to Frankfurt will take place on May 18 with takeoff set for 10:55 p.m. and arrival for 7 p.m. in Germany the next day.
Condor will offer up a Boeing 767-300ER with 259 seats in business, premium and economy classes for service on the long flight.
Additionally, all passengers will receive “complimentary checked baggage, beverages, meals and in-flight entertainment.”
