Amtrak Connecting New York City to the Ski Slopes of Vermont
Car Rental & Rail Amtrak Donald Wood January 13, 2017

Are you looking to take a ski trip this winter? Let Amtrak do all of the heavy lifting in terms of getting you from New York City to the beautiful slopes of Vermont.
Using the Ethan Allen Express train, passengers who purchase tickets will be transported from New York Penn Station (NYP) on a trip to Rutland (RUD), Vermont, before boarding a connecting shuttle Killington (KLT), Vermont.
In total, the trip on the Amtrak Thruway Service will take around six hours each way. Passengers will arrive at the Killington resort area with all of their ski equipment so they do not need a vehicle throughout their time in Vermont.
The default stop on the route will be at the Killington Grand Resort, but other hotels in the area can be requested as stops as well. The shuttle service—provided by Gramps Shuttle—operates year-round.
