Fox Rent A Car announced an expansion into Italy Tuesday, with a total of eight new locations opening in the coming months.
The rental company has already opened affiliate locations in such Italian transportation hubs as Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, Milan-Malpensa Airport and Pisa International Airport.
As for the facilities expected to open soon, Fox announced that it would be unveiling new in-terminal airport locations at Venice Marco Polo Airport, Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport and Brindisi-Salento Airport.
Fox Rent A Car — the fifth-largest car rental company in the United States — will also be opening two additional locations in Sicily at the Falcone-Borsellino Airport and Catania-Fontanarossa Airport.
With the addition of the eight new locations in Italy and on the island of Sicily, Fox will reach an additional 110 million European travelers and have locations in 27 countries and territories.
The addition of the new facilities also brings the company’s total to 37 locations across Europe.
Jack Wetzel, director of Fox Affiliate Division shared a statement, saying, “We are very excited to expand with our new partners in Italy to bring the Fox value and brand experience to travelers in these growing leisure markets. We are continually seeking new partners and business location opportunities to expand our car rental service to Fox customers around the globe.”
Fox business partner Sicily by Car also released a statement, saying, “Sicily by Car is delighted about the start of the co-operation with Fox Rent A Car. This excitement comes out of the fact that both companies are strongly focused on dynamic strategies leading to a quick and flexible decision-making to always be in line with the market.”
