Avalon Waterways will continue to raise the bar on its culinary offerings with a new FlexDining program in 2019, providing travelers with more options to dine where they want – and when they want.
The program complements Avalon’s Avalon Fresh program, which was introduced last year in partnership with Vienna-based chefs Karl and Leo Wrenkh to broaden the line’s offerings of healthy, locally sourced dining options.
“In addition to providing guests with multiple dining venues like the Panorama Bistro and the Sky Grill, to bringing healthy food options to the plate with Avalon Fresh, FlexDining offers our guests the opportunity to enjoy open dining times, more two-top tables for couples, bar service on the Sky Deck and daily night fare, on request, at the bar,” said Pam Hoffee, managing director of Avalon Waterways.
Avalon is also upping the ante on land. Next, the line will expand its Active Discovery cruises to the Rhône River. The company will also introduce the Avalon Choice program featuring Classic, Discovery and Active excursions on every itinerary throughout Europe.
The line also announced plans to add Avalon Adventure Hosts to all 2019 European cruises. “We will have an Adventure Host on every ship to help travelers explore the world in the way – and at the pace – that best suits them,” said Hoffee.
