As Crystal readies to embark on its newest journey - river cruising - details have been released on the cruise line's four new-build river ships that will join the Crystal Mozart, setting the stage for the cruise line's much-anticipated river cruise debut this month. The luxurious new vessels, set to debut next year, will have Crystal's signature look, feel and design in public spaces, staterooms and amenities but will also feature "Crystal Differences" that will set Crystal River Cruises apart.

"Emulation has never been part of our formula for success, rather, we have enjoyed a long reputation for innovating and leading the way in luxury travel experiences," said Crystal CEO and President Edie Rodriguez. "Crystal River Cruises river yachts will showcase the most celebrated parts of the Crystal Experience - stylish and elegant design, creative itineraries and experiences ashore, unmatched genuine service - while also creating a brand new niche in river cruising that will appeal to the world's most discerning travelers."

The four new river yachts will have a nearly identical design strategy to their sister ship, the Crystal Mozart. However, because they vary in size - Crystal Mozart is known as "Queen of Europe's Rivers and is one of the largest river ships, accommodating 158 guests - the new builds will have a more intimate feel. They will carry approximately half the number of passengers.

The Rhine Class yachts, the Crystal Mahler and the Crystal Bach, will sail the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, be 135 meters in length and have 53 suites, accommodating 106 guests.

The Paris Class yachts include the Crystal Debussy and the Crystal Ravel, which will sail the Seine, Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde rivers. These ships are 110 meters long and have a guest capacity of 78 in 39 suites.

Accommodation is all-suite and above the waterline, meaning there are no bad staterooms onboard. All four of the river yachts will offer butler service in every suite with features such as plush king-size beds that face toward the Panoramic Balcony-Windows, fine Egyptian-cotton linens, walk-in closets, full-length mirrors, ETRO robes and slippers, wall-mounted flat-screen HD televisions and Nespresso machines.

There will be multiple eateries onboard featuring Crystal's acclaimed cuisine. Passengers can choose to dine in the elegant Waterside Restaurant, the namesake Bistro cafés and the exclusive Vintage Room; Cove Bar and Palm Court. Crystal will offer true open-seating dining, allowing guests to dine where they want, when they want and with whom they want.

Onboard amenities include a full-service spa and a separate fitness center as well as a partial indoor/outdoor pool on the aft of Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler.

"We have ensured that, in designing Crystal River Cruises' yachts, we remain committed to the cornerstones of the Crystal brand that travelers throughout the world have come to love: service, space, quality and choices," says Walter Littlejohn, vice president and managing director, Crystal River Cruises. "It is imperative that our guests' experience aboard these vessels conveys this commitment to the 'Crystal Difference.'"
