Four of the Best Cruise Ship Suites
Cruise Line & Cruise Ship Crystal Cruises Jason Leppert November 17, 2016

What constitutes luxury for one person may differ from the definition of another, but a grand suite is sure to be on the list of many. Of course, what qualifies as the best suite on a cruise ship is a bit subjective too. Is it determined by sheer size or plush amenities? Let’s take a look at some of the contenders across ocean, river and expedition ships.

Crystal Suite, Crystal Mozart, Crystal River Cruises
Only just recently did Crystal Cruises expand into the river cruising market with its first Crystal Mozart, and already the line is making waves thanks in part to accommodations onboard like the two-bedroom 883-square-foot Crystal Suite with French balcony for up to four guests. This room features amenities such as butler service, a living and dining room, bathroom with a separate shower and tub, walk-in closet and a guest bath. Other niceties include a 55-inch television, USB charging outlets, LED fireplace, Nespresso coffee maker, ETRO terry robes and slippers and a king size bed with Egyptian cotton linens.
Regent Suite, Seven Seas Explorer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises
By virtue of essentially being its own private 3,026-square-foot observation lounge positioned at the very front of the ship and encompassing its entire width, the Regent Suite on Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new Seven Seas Explorer astounds. With two bedrooms, two balconies, two and a half bathrooms, a living room, solarium, and a private spa (rendered above) and whirlpool that can collectively pamper up to six guests, it’s hard not to consider this one of the most palatial accommodations at sea if not anywhere. And a Steinway grand piano and king size Savoir bed with a mollissima duvet are the cherries on top.

Signature Suite, Seabourn Quest, Seabourn
For an intimate ocean ship that only carries 450 guests, the Signature Suite aboard Seabourn’s Seabourn Quest is an excellent 1,352-square-foot way to delight a single couple. The suite features a veranda overlooking the bow from half of the forward ship as well as a living area and dining for four to six, master bedroom, bathroom with whirlpool tub, guest bath, pantry and wet bar. Additional amenities are two flat-screen televisions and welcome complimentary Wi-Fi internet access.
Owner’s Suite, Silver Explorer, Silversea Expeditions
Even when Silversea Cruises goes exploring in remote territories it doesn’t leave behind its signature luxuries. The Owner’s Suite on Silversea Expeditions’ Silver Explorer, for instance, is a 728-square-foot palace complete with a living room, master bedroom, private veranda, walk-in closet and marble bathroom featuring a full tub and shower. Matching fine hardware like an Illy espresso machine and two interactive televisions with exquisite software are included laundry service, free Wi-Fi internet access and two hours of international phone calling.
