On Monday, cruise line MSC Cruises announced that it had received the 2016 'Best Cruise Line for Nightlife' Award from Cruise Critic.
The award was presented to MSC Cruises for its extensive offering of onboard experiences and entertainment, and the honor is just the latest in a long list of trade and consumer awards throughout 2016. Cruise Critic felt MSC Cruises was worthy of the 2016 'Best Cruise Line for Nightlife' Award due to its Broadway-style shows, bands in multiple venues, late-night movies and discos that continue until 3 a.m. local time.
“I am thrilled that we are continuing to be recognized for both our on board offerings and facilities,” MSC Cruises president Roberto Fusaro said in a statement. “The extensive list of award wins in 2016 is a true testament to MSC Cruises' dedication to continuously enhance guest experiences and provide world-class service on board our ships.”
The success of the MSC Cruises nightlife is partly due to the cruise line’s dedication to Broadway-style production shows. With six different options to choose from, the company mixes exhilarating acrobatic feats, dazzling costumes, meticulously detailed sets and elite performers to make its shows some of the best in the industry.
MSC Cruises is not resting on its laurels, either, as it will be adding to its new mega-ship, the MSC Meraviglia, two Cirque Du Soleil at Sea shows developed specifically for the cruise line which will be performed six nights a week.
In addition to the 2016 'Best Cruise Line for Nightlife' Award from Cruise Critic, MSC Cruises has also been recognized in the Porthole Cruise Magazine's Editor in Chief Awards as having the Best Production Shows, and was named in USA Today's 10 Best Reader's Choice 2016 Awards in the Best Cruise Ships for Entertainment category.
