Oceania Cruises announced Thursday that the company would be lending a helping hand to travel agents by offering a free online Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist Academy.
Located within the Travel Agent Center of the Oceania Cruises’ website, the online portal has multiple tutorials designed to educate travel agents on the features and amenities of the Oceania Cruises brand.
The first exclusive course for the academy will be ‘Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist’ and will be a professionally narrated web-based training program. The tutorial will help travel agents know and understand what the cruise line offers, including fine cuisine, personalized service and immersive destination experiences.
Once a travel agent completes the online academy course, they will be become a certified Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist. The certification also means agents will earn an additional $200 bonus commission on their next booking made within a 12-month period and three $100 shipboard credit certificates they may gift to clients.
Oceania Cruises Senior Vice President James Rodriguez released a statement about the new program, saying, “Our partnership with travel agents is vital to us. We created the Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist Academy to provide our travel partners with an informational resource they can leverage when counseling their clients on choosing the perfect cruise. We encourage all travel agents to explore this intuitive portal, earn certification and reap the rewards.”
Some of the interactive sections of the Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist Academy include web-based courses, a wealth of resources (reference materials, marketing tools and webinars), an easy-to-follow tracker for your progress and a Graduate Center.
The first course will have eight chapters, with the first four providing information on Oceania Cruises ships and the last four providing specific guidance on how to effectively sell to both new and existing clients.
Once all chapters are completed, travel agents will complete the final exam and earn their certification and bonus rewards. For more information on the free training course, check out Oceania’s official travel agent site.
