Not only is Princess Cruises planning its largest deployment to Alaska ever in 2018, but the line is also preparing its Canada & New England and Europe itineraries for the year as well.
Particularly exciting is that Princess will be sending its two newest ships – the 3,560-guest Regal Princess and Royal Princess – to explore the changing fall colors of Canada & New England in 2018. It will be the first time the two ships will cruise together, leaving from New York and Quebec on 10 departures and four routes to a dozen ports.
“We’re excited to bring two of our newest ships to Canada & New England in 2018, so that more guests can enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage and famed destinations and landmarks in this region,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises president.

Itinerary highlights include Royal Princess on 10-, 11- and 14-day voyages to the likes of Newport, Boston, Portland, Saint John (for the Bay of Fundy), Halifax, Sydney (Cape Breton Island), Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island) and Quebec; as well as Regal princess on shorter 5- or 7-day sailings to ports such as Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor (for Acadia National Park), Saint John (for the Bay of Fundy) and Halifax.
There will additionally be two cruise-tours available, to either visit Thomas Jefferson's Monticello estate, Colonial Williamsburg, Independence Hall in Philadelphia and the Gettysburg Battlefield; or see Niagra Falls, Ottawa, Montreal and the Thousand Islands.
Alternatively in Europe for 2018, Princess will head to the Mediterranean and the Baltic, featuring the line’s new “Local Connections” program for genuine experiences with regional residents. The connections include a video series, local onboard speakers, new excursions, port guides and walking maps, new welcome and departure experiences and a guide to “cool things” made in port.

“We’re proud to continually earn awards for the best cruise itineraries around the globe and we’re sure to live up to our reputation with the 2018 Europe season,” said Swartz. “We’ve worked hard to not only showcase the famous sites of Europe to our guests but also provide them authentic local experiences to immerse themselves in the culture, food, landscape and charm of these iconic destinations.”
Those looking to experience the British Isles aboard the aforementioned new Royal Princess can sail roundtrip for 12 days from Paris (Le Havre), but she is only one of five Princess ships heading to Europe on 57 itineraries to 115 destinations. In fact, the Sapphire Princess will be making its inaugural visit to the area. Plus, the small-ship Pacific Princess will explore on its European Capitals sailing with an overnight in Amsterdam and a late departure from Antwerp.
Meanwhile in the Mediterranean, Crown Princess will depart on weeklong cruises to a variety of ports like Salerno, Kotor, Corfu, Crete, Mykonos, Marseille (for Provence), Florence/Pisa, Katakolon (for Olympia), Mykonos, Santorini, Kotor and Naples (for Capri and Pompeii). Also, the Regal Princess will return to Scandinavia & Russia, and the fleet as a whole will explore many more permutations of Europe as well.
