Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced Tuesday it will be adding more voyages to Cuba on two itineraries in 2019 and 2020.
As the only North American luxury cruise line granted permission to sail voyages to Cuba, the line’s Seven Seas Mariner ship will offer the first immersive itinerary to the island during her October 15, 2019, voyage.
The 2019 journey will feature stops in Havana, Cienfuegos, and Santiago de Cuba, which will allow passengers to engage in people-to-people activities and immerse themselves in the Caribbean island’s culture.
“We are proud to have been the first North American luxury line to call on Cuba and are delighted to offer more opportunities for travelers to visit such a historic and culture-rich destination,” Regent chief executive officer Jason Montague said in a statement. “On these eight future sailings that visit Cuba, guests will be treated to informative presentations from experts and scholars, as well as enjoy our distinctive, highly personalized service from every member of our exceptional staff and crew.”

Passengers will be able to experience Cuba through Regent’s wide selection of free and unlimited shore excursions, including walking in the steps of famed author Ernest Hemingway while in Havana, study architecture in Cienfuegos and dive into the island’s history in Santiago de Cuba.
The Seven Seas Mariner made its maiden call on Havana in April 2017, and the cruise line will now offer eight future itineraries to Cuba. Departure dates include October 10 and 15, 2019, aboard the Mariner. The Seven Seas Navigator will offer sailings with Havana stops on November 11, 2018, and April 25, 2020.
The Seven Seas Voyager will depart for Cuba on December 6 and 16, 2018, as well as February 6 and March 5, 2019.
